i couldnt shut my eyes to sleep. i'm worried. very worry for my performance the next day. well, i simply deserve it. i've been training my maple character so hard that neglected my revision schedule. it isnt much of a scheule but a plan. this plan for revision never seems to work. i was certainely unsure about myself. will my abilities be proved good to be promoted to the next level of education? or will my laziness bring me my downfall? my feelings was that i'm gonna retain. and thoughts of me and the life i'll lead soon surfaced in my brain. i cant help it but to be negitive. i send messages to huiming and kenneth for help. they encouraged me alot. huiming said i should hard work no matter what. kenneth was so confident that i'll do well. i felt the strength to move. yay~ i started the sleepless 17 hours race. ( from 7pm when i woke up from my afternoon nap..) maths was a subject which requires lots of practice. i wasnt as hardworking, so i skipped all the prelims papers and tried past year papers instead. it was already 11+ pm. there isnt much time left for me. it was fine i thot, with some similar questions that i wasnt able to solve. lucky me for joel's coming to my rescue. many said that i'm blessed, as i have someone to study with and someone who i can get some help from. i never really believed in those saying until recently. you see, i only study when the time comes.. :P soon, at 3 joel went to sleep. i tried doing more on my own. the needle ticked at 4. i was still working on maths! what about social studies? lolx. lucky me again to have a pro-cum-tutor-for-SS, kenneth! he've been teaching me some chapters weeks ago despite his tight schedule. thanks a million~ so, i was more or less prepared for SS. having the whole of industrialisation and half of population dancing with my brain cells. what about the another half? yay, that was what i'm terrified of. i send a message to kenneth at 4 to report on my progress. laid on my bed at 4.30am. yet, i'm still WIDE awake. gosh, i took my notes and headed to my dinning table. seriously, there isnt a proper place for me to study at home. my bedroom? nahx, no study table. the computer was just too much of a forbidden fruit. the dinning table? yay, that's a great idea. it used to be a study room but was eliminated for the dinning. then, my mother will nagging from the kitchen to me, calling for me to study. she even thinks that i'm trying to deceive her. gosh, cant your daughter, be in the revising-her-work mode for a moment? 4.30am, no more nags. sat on the chair, with my blanket over me ( so i'll feel secured) and a i wrote essays so to test how much i've absorbed. 5am and send a message to kenneth, again. i was alittle sleepy but failed to convince my mind for a rest. i wrote more essays until 6. kenneth called me the moment he woke up. he must be very surprised. for the fact that a sleepyhead still wide waken at 6! chatted awhile and shared more of my thoughts. haaha, time to wake up, joel! pissed off he was, lifted his heavy eye lids under the bright light, still sub-concusious. poor thing, the whole family hates to be waken during deep sleep. too bad, i'm a devil. he answered a few of my questions and washes up. i laid on my bed for some rest and realised myself in La La Land. 5 mins was the time i've been there. my turn to wash up~ headed to school at 7.30am. i did the paper in the classroom, with some of the express students. it was werid. they were unlike my express peers. they are united to themselves, so are we. i prayed for the paper to be as managable as those i've attempted. clock strikes 8 and the paper starts~ maths pp1 was fine. some of the questions gave me a surprise! i never practice them before. 15 marks were gone. gosh~ well, better luck for paper 2! mummy was out, so no breakfast for us. joel got rice and i got myself KFC. gosh~ KFC shirked so much! it's now 1/3 of the original size! dont they realised that HS kids dine in to KFC more than MCD? so small. the service was bad. i am pin-pointing on some cashier service personnel. there was three customer before me but i waited for 15mins! i was served and later waited for my burger for another 10 mins! a total of 25mins! fast food turned slow food! kopitiam serves less than 5 mins! i wasnt allow to take my drink and fries from the counter. that was worse! i was so thristy~ she offered me a regular pepsi later to apologise for the long wait. i rejected the offer because i dont take soft drinks unless my desire for it calls. darn hungry. finished the fries and iced milo on my way home. too tired and "pomp" took some shut-eyes from 12 noon til 1pm. joel woke me up as i required him to do so. but it was about time to leave. mummy was already home then. she unpack her lor mee and settle down for lunch. i quickly recited points to her since i can memorise it. indeed, the points for the many helping hands approach and merger flow and got into my brain. thanks mummy for your listening ear. it was benefical to you too, since you will soon be a senior citizen in the next decade :P took my textbook and notes and left the house 1pm+. was reading the whole of merger and seperation. everyone was there. their eyes were on the essays of merger and seperation. i didnt really studied for it, since the funtimentals were already with me. i took a peep of what suat teng was reading and asked her to test me on that. soon, we were asked to enter the room. should i consider myself lucky and unlucky? no industrialisation, no population for SEQ. the topics i feared the most, northern ireland and education & health came out! for some reason, merger and seperation came out again. the question i was tested came out! just like the time during N levels! the first time i wanted to do was to thanks Mrs Devan. i'd have been at a loss if it wasnt for her. she drilled in the whole chapter into my brains! still, i was in the state of shockness and depair. i took 5 mins to read and develop a format to write. took around an hour to do. that was way off time. only 30mins mintunes left for SBQ! i was like a mad women. combing my hair to the back and wrote every single thing i can anaylse from the sources, with no conclusion :P done. two papers down and more to come~ :D ![]() Joanne Wednesday, November 1, 2006
i supposed to be swimming within the walls of the S'pore Population. then, i went on a tour at my cousin, josephine's blog, which was somehow "linked".. .. i was totally amazed by her creativity. she must have got her inspirations of kelicia. to see her playing around with words was fun. she's really a chinese, i would say. she speaks more teochew and chinese whenever we met. little i know she graduated for Mass Communication, the course i yearned to get into. she is indeed the-language-sorcerer. well, a sorcerer practises sorcery and plays with magic and is a wizard. she is the wizard of words! muhaahaaha ~ ( kenneth says that i cant use the words language and sorcerer together cause they dont click! then, i'm too stubborn to listen to him, i wanna be funny. :P) here's a short introduction. she gave birth to my little niece, kelicia on 21 sept 2006, finished her confinement and now having maternity leave. she said motherhood is not an easy feat. indeed, it was tough for her. to know that she carries kelicia like a tray of food sounded bad enough already. to heard that she refered kelicia as 'leave IT alone' instead of 'leave HER alone' when she cries was worse. ( shouldnt a mother be running over to her little darling to attend to her needs?) to imagine the scenario when her MALE colleagues teach her how to cradle the baby is good enough for you to widen your eyes and leave your jaws hanging real low. then, she is a mother for the first time. people learn from mistakes and gather experiences from practices. what she needs is more time. gambate Jo! i am still puzzled. can a mother-to-be make love with her husband? it sounded outragerous to me. i thought the liquid in the water bag was grey and semen was white. or are they the same in colour? dots.. .. explainations for these questions are much appreaciated! ~ if you are interested, do visit her blog at http://shjo.blogs.friendster.com/shjo/ :D ![]() Joanne |
